concepts for children’s book

These are some quick sketches to figure out a look for a children’s book that I am illustrating for a friend. I still have a lot of work to do to find a style, but I am slowly getting somewhere with it. Right now it looks a little too generic. I’ll figure something out eventually.

I posted some rough sketches for this a while ago, but I am finally starting to work on some of the finished illustrations.
