Making comics is like pulling teeth, sometimes….. Page #19 is currently sitting on my drawing board, half pencilled. I jumped ahead and pencilled the last page already, so that leaves me with just under 5 pages to go, as far as pencilling is concerned. I’ve inked up to page 10. Once the pencilling is out of the way, that means most of the thinking and planning is finished, then it’s just a matter of hard work to finish the inking. I’m getting really anxious to finish this comic, so that’s a good thing.
Here’s a little sneek peak, at page 7 to wet your appetite!
I can’t believe you’re lapping me again…
Dude, that is some sweet comic action right there, whats that move called? a sunset flip or something? I used to watch wrestling…its all fading…
hey, the ditko nine panel grid! good on ya blair. You should invite stan lee to add superfluous descriptions all over the place, so he can take credit for your work. “the mighty midget flung his dreadlocked breatheren skyward with the force of a titan eight times his size!”
Mike: No one wants to see Spy Guy #1 finished more than me, and if the only way to get you to work faster is to lap you, then that’s what I’m going to have to do.
Brian: I’m not too sure, but I did look up a whole bunch of midget wrestling youtube clips for reference. This one I think I just made up, but I did use a cool one where the midget jumps and locks his legs around the guy’s neck and whips him to the ground…….. it was pretty sweet. Maybe I’ll have to post some later:)
Murray: Dang…. that sounded good.
I had Greg Hyland enlighten me on the proper wording to get my books through the US Customs next time… Yep, I’m too honest to get by in this world.
I’m going to be in Toronto shortly for the Angora Napkin recording, hopefully I can find time to do a signing and pick up Possum #3 (I’m behind!). The Angora GN will be out in January of ’09.
